A simple trekking route in the trentina part of Lessinia, to find out military tunnels of Cima Borghetti

Itinerary description:

Lessinia trentina offers amazing itineraries between woods and landscapes. One of these is that of Villaggio san Michele, close to Sega di Ala, leads to mysterious Busoni, military tunnels of almost one hundred meters which were toward Val d'Adige. After leaving your car in Villaggio san Michele, you will go on along camping al Faggio and old military road which cuts across Malga Borghetti and it ventures into a nice woods of broad-leaves and conifers.
The walk is plesant, without particular difficulties, and in almost half an hour permits to arrive to the entry of tunnles. Recently cleaned and maked safe thanks to a reinstatement, they can be visited with an use of flashlight because they measure almost one hundred meters. The principal tunnel is downhill and leads you to four rooms of shot placed in fan on Val Fredda underlying, while a side tunnel on the right leads you to another four rooms, which are toward Avio and Sabbionara. A writing that says: “Da qui l'eterno barbaro non passerà mai più , v'è il più saldo presidio: l'italico virtù”  (from here in eternal barbarian will pass never again, there is the stablest protection: italian soldier), this represents the spirit and the personality of troops positioned in this rear of the First World War.

The trip continues towards a nice signaled path, which proceeds quickly and permits to arrive to Monte Corno, whose mountaintop comes out of the wood and allows a perfect view of Lessinia, Monte Baldo and trentine Alpine foothills. For the way back you will keep going the road of Malga delle cime, in Avio village, which before Camping al Faggio crosses a beautiful beech wood with a luxuriant undergrowth.

Difficulty: itinerary with a medium difference in height mainly on dirty roads and signaled paths between beech and carpino woods and pastures.
