A 19th century "malga", completely renovated in 2009 with total respect for the surrounding territory, located at 1200 m on the similarly named "Grand Lausen", Rifugio Lausen has become an exclusive location for all mountaineering enthusiasts.
This is a typical malga of 1800 completely restructured in 2009 respecting the territory, it is located at 1220m on the homonymous mountain “Grand Lausen”, it is an exclusive location perfect for every rambler.
The shelter Lausen (“steers’house in Cimbro language) has been restructured respecting the ancient origins of the family Guzzo. Since November 2017 it is managed by the alpin guide Danny Zampiccoli.
The shelter, located at 1220m is a wonderful place not too far from Velo Veronese, where the eye spaces from the lowland Padana up to the Appennineses. Over the Colli Euganei, at east, it is not rare to be able to see Venice and behind his shoulders the Carega Mountain with his 2.259m of height.
It’s possible to arrive here by car but there are a lot of walks that bring to the Lausen passing from the Valley of the Sphinxes or departing from Giazza or pedaling on proper runs for the mountain-bike.
Kitchen is simple and genuine, it offers special dishes which are famous in Trento and also traditional dishes from Lessinia. The shelter has 22 beds: 6 double rooms and one room with 10 beds. Private bathroom and autonomous heating are included in every room. It is the perfect place to live some days in tranquility and also to organize an event or a ceremony.
The shelter is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the winter season and everyday in the summer.
