San Giorgio di Bosco Chiesanuova is the point of beginning of one of the classic excursions, but at the same time unexpected inside of upland; you will find a lot of peculiarities in different stretches of the route, such as Lythiotis outcrops in the first part, an antique fossil of bivalve mollusk, or a mysterious karst cave of Buso del Valon, with more than 40 meters of depth and with a small deviation from principal way, and amazing landscapes which you will see from Castel Malera and from Bocca Malera, a rich places of evident signs of the First World War. The way back is along a comfortable dirty road, which places side by side the rustic lodge Malga Malera di Sotto, recovered from neglect and transformed in a welcoming mountain lodge. The itinerary is walkable in every seasons and it is very popular for snowshoes walking lover during winter, where some ascents can vary according to height and the conditions of snow.
